Cedar Catholic girls’ basketball coach Jason Folkers took a page straight out of Coach Gary Dunn’s playbook last Tuesday when he started the five Steffen girls against Ponca here.  Bailey Steffen (33) gets a high-five from Lexi Steffen during team introductions, while Liz Steffen, Morgan Steffen and Maggie Steffen look on. Coach Folkers said he decided on the special lineup for their last home game.  The team really liked the idea. “ I feel it was something that everyone enjoyed.”  Former Cedar Catholic Coach and Principal Gary Dunn made local history here when he put all five Wieseler brothers on the  floor to start a game in 1975.

“Wynot has a great team and the game was much closer than the final score indicates,” said Cedar Catholic Coach Matt Steffen. “The atmosphere of this game reminded me of some of the games we used to play in Holy Trinity, with the crowd right on top of you.  It was a fun atmosphere.”
