Tigers route Stuart; playoffs next

The Osmond Tigers finished their regular season Thursday night, Oct. 18, as they traveled to Stuart to take on the 4-3 Broncos. The Tigers played well against a quality opponent during extremely windy conditions and posted a 56-20 win to close out their regular season at 5-3.

The Tigers had a very good start to the game as they scored on both of their full possessions of the first quarter. The first came on a 17-yard pass from Daniel Wiese to Andrew Folkers. Carlin Krienert added the two-point conversion on a run. The second score of the quarter came on a one-yard plunge by Wiese. How- ever, the try for two failed.

Osmond ends Vikings’ perfect season

OSMOND — The run at perfection is over.

The rival Osmond Tigers ended Wausa’s perfect season Friday and knocked the Vikes out of the statewide rankings.

The two teams battled evenly for the first 24 minutes, each putting up a touchdown in the first frame and a goose egg in the second quarter.

Wynot boys upset Osmond for first victory of 2012

Wynot —  The Wynot Blue Devils earned their first win of the football season Friday as they downed the Osmond Tigers 36-30.

The Blue Devils used a potent passing attack as the combination of Jackson Sudbeck to Davis Wieseler accounted for four touchdowns. Wynot also got a touchdown by speedy freshman wide-out Cody Stratman  to help the Devils to the Homecoming win.

Osmond tops RHS Cards in grid thrilller

RANDOLPH — Thursday’s Randolph Cardinal regular season football finale with the Osmond Tigers featured plenty of drama and excitement.
In a back-and-forth game that saw both teams take double-digit leads, the Tigers came from behind to earn the 38-36 win.

Wildcats fall 14-8 against Osmond Tigers

OSMOND — All the scoring in the football game Friday night between the Hartington Wildcats and the Osmond Tigers took place in the first half.
Osmond scored first in the opening quarter and both teams picked up scores in the second period as the second half became a defensive battle with the Tigers making their first half lead stand up by taking the 14-8 win.
