
MADISON — The Lady Cards finished eighth out of nine varsity teams scoring only 10 points at the always tough Madison Invite April 16.
The best finish of the day was the 3200 relay team of Ashley Schmit, Daisha Jorgensen, Mackenzie Lemmons and Elle Bermel who ran 11:17.2 to finish third on the day.
The 1600 relay team, consisting of Megan Fink, Elle Bermel, Kathryn Kuchta and Caitie Lemmons were fifth with a time of 4:49.6.
Brenna Thies picked up the only individual medal of the day with a fifth place time in the 300 hurdles-52.4.
Cardinals finish second in 14-team meet
MADISON — The Randolph boys track team traveled to Madison April 16, and competed very well on the track and in the field. The team brought home second place honors, scoring 90 points in the 14-team meet.
Finishing with gold medals for the Cardinals were: Nick Schmit – 400 Meter Dash, 53.64; 800 Meter Run, 2:04.33; Justin Korth – 3200 Meter Run, 10:51.50; Jacob Svitak – Discus, 151 feet.
Adding second place silver medals were Nolan Nordhues – 200 Meter Dash, 23.10; Seth Lackas - Discus, 135’5”.
Other individuals adding to the medal count and points were as follows: High Jump – Levi Lackas, 5th, 5’6”; Shot Put – Dylan Loberg, 4th, 42’2”; Jacob Svitak – 5th, 40’10”; 110 Meter High Hurdles - Dylan Loberg, 5th, 17.69.
The relays also competed well with the 4 x 800 relay winning gold with Justin Korth, Nolan Nordhues, Levi Lackas and Nick Schmit finishing in 8:57.70. The 4 x 400 relay also added gold in a time of 3:43.07 with Nolan Nordhues, Levi Lackas, Denton Kuhl and Nick Schmit making up the unit.
Finishing the scoring for the Cardinals were the members of the 4 x 100 Relay at fourth in a time of 47.90. Members were Levi Lackas, Nolan Nordhues, Landyn Anderson and Dylan Loberg.
