LCC athletes qualify for State Track meet in Omaha
HARTINGTON—The Laurel-Concord/Coleridge girls’ track team has competed short-handed all season long, and still managed to finish in the top half of the team standings in almost every meet this year.
The Lady Bears did just that at the District C-6 Track Meet in Hartington Thursday, finishing third out of eight teams competing, with a combined team score of 98.
The district championship, which was decided in the last event, went to Cedar Catholic, finishing with 121.5, edging out Crofton by 1.5 points.
In total, LCC came away from the meet with four individual athletes and two relay teams that qualified for the 2013 NSAA State Track Meet.
