Girls track team travels to Hartington

HARTINGTON – The girls track and field team traveled to Hartington for the Crofton invite on the 12th and finished one point out of 3rd place behind Wynot and 1/2 point ahead of Hartington for 4th place scoring a season high 69 points.

Pacing the girls again, was Lesley Haselhorst with a win in the shot put-34’9” and a second in the discus with a toss of 106’10”.
Silver medals went to: Kathryn Kuchta-triple jump-31’5, and Ashley Schmit, who came from way back to second place in the 1600 run with a time of 6:12.5.  3rd places:  3200 relay team of Ashley, Emily Schnoor, Mackenzie Lemmons and Kathryn Kuchta-season best of 11:01.9, and Brenna Thies in the 300 hurdles-54.2–Other placers:  4th-Brenna Thies-triple jump(career best)-30’7–Ashley in the 3200 run-13:43.4 and both the 4×100-Brenna, Lesley, Lacey Thies, and Cali Wurdinger-57.0 and the 4×400 relay team of Mackenzie, Brenna, Lesley and Kathryn-4:52.5–5th–Kathryn-long jump-14’7, Emily Svitak-discus-94’10, Mackenzie-400-69.7–6th–Emily Schnoor-800-2:49.9
