Lady Cards earn NENAC split

RANDOLPH —The Randolph Lady Cardinals split a pair of NENAC Conference games last week.
Randolph dropped a hard-fought decision to Neligh-Oakdale Tuesday, then bounced back strong to defeat Crofton here Thursday.

The Lady Cards put on an impressive showing for the hometown fans as they earned a big sweep over the Crofton Lady Warriors during Thursday night home action.
The Randolph JV earned 25-20, 25-7 victories, while the Randolph C team defeated Crofton  25-21 and 25-18.

The Lady Cards fell a little short against Neligh Tuesday as the Lady Warriors earned the four-set decision.
The Warriors earned the 25-23 first-set decision, then won 25-22 in the second set, but Randolph turned the tables on them in the second set for the 25-22 win. Neligh then ended the contest with a thrilling 26-24 win in the fourth set.
The Big Red offense was led by a dominating net performance by Kirsten Fink, who slammed down 18 kills on the night.
Emily Schnoor paced the Randolph defense in the contest with a 20-dig performance.
Erin Keetle had 15 kills for Neligh-Oakdale during the conference win over Randolph.
The Randolph girls only have one contest this week — a Thursday match-up with state-rated Cedar Catholic.
Randolph will be in Laurel next Tuesday for a quad-tournament with the Bears. The Lady Cards drew Creighton for their first-round game.
