Lady Vikings have their hands full with Randolph
RANDOLPH — The Wausa Lady Vikings had trouble Friday in a non-conference contest against Randolph.
Randolph topped the Lady Vikes 67-18 to improve to 5-7 for the season and keep Wausa winless on the year.
Randolph is in the process of applying for admission to the Lewis and Clark Conference, so this could soon become a conference contest between the two schools.
The Lady Cardinals got out of the gates quickly by outscoring Wausa by 20-2 in the first quarter.
Wausa regrouped in the second frame to pump in eight points, however, Randolph popped in 13 of their own to take a 33-10 halftime advantage. Randolph outscored Wausa 34-8 in the second half to seal the win.
Nine Randolph players again made the scoring column with Kirsten Fink leading the way with 15 points followed by Michaela Strathman, who knocked downa double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
