Weinandt leads Cedar boys at State track meet
HARTINGTON — Cedar Catholic’s Logan Weinandt placed seventh in the discus to lead the Trojans at the State Track Meet.
Cedar sent five athletes to this week’s State Track Meet to compete in six different events.
Weinandt wasn’t the only Cedar weight man to compete at the State meet. Andrew Lorenz’s discus throw was also good enough to give him a trip to state. Connor Wieseler earned runner-up honors in the shot put to also make it to state.
Frank Herbolsheimer competed at State in the pole vault, while his brother Steve Herbolsheimer competed in the 300-meter hurdles.
“I am very happy for our three seniors that were able to go down there and compete for us. They represented our school very well,” Cedar Catholic Coach Chad Cattau said.
